Welcome To Ibiza

Summer Season 2019

They say you can’t step into the same river twice, as it will be a different river then and you won’t be the same either. This certainly holds true for Ibiza, because whenever you step foot onto our beloved rock, it has changed again, as have you.

So to all of you saying Ibiza isn’t like it used to be: We think it’s very probable that you yourself have evolved and changed too over the years.

So let’s bring you up to date on all the latest island developments since you left. The biggest surprise of the summer 2019 season must be David Guetta moving his FMIF party to and Marco Carola departing Amnesia and bringing his long-running Music On party to Thursdays at Pacha, including some daytime shenanigans at Destino.

One of Amnesia’s best known brands on the other hand returns to the venue for 2019: Sven Väth’s Cocoon is back bi-weekly on Mondays, with an impressive lineup, totally fitting to their twentieth anniversary. With Dixon’s Transmoderna concept at Pacha, a brand new and promising party is also entering the ring.

It’s not all about house and techno this year in Ibiza, though. The global phenomenon that is reggaeton is represented by more Latin parties than ever before in 2019. Hï brings I’m a Rich Bitch to Playa d’en Bossa every Monday, and Ushuaïa has a new latino party on Sundays called Mucho Ibiza. Pacha invites reggaeton superstar J Balvin on six Tuesdays in June and July and Privilege introduces new latin urban concept Brutal on Saturdays.

At the time of print, Privilege was still wrestling with licensing issues, that should be resolved soon enough, hopefully. After the closing season, authorities temporarily suspended licenses of Amnesia, Es Paradis and Privilege for safety issues. While the other two clubs have made the necessary adjustments, Privilege is still working on getting the permission to open the club.

But why wait for nighttime to party: Outdoor venues continue to thrive in Ibiza and for this summer several venues have announced interesting concepts and line ups. Cova Santa returns as a party venue, with considerably more fiestas than last season, among them Shadows by Magdalena and the return of WooMoon. Benimussa in San Antonio is home of the legendary Zoo Project, but also some new concepts.

Of course Ibiza Rocks, Ocean Beach and Blue Marlin on Sundays are back as well. So with a bursting party calendar, countless clean beaches and so many restaurants on such a small island, don’t catch yourself FOMO (“fear of missing out”), and rather enjoy the moment.
